Menus reflect the hygiene of your establishment. If your menu is tired and dirty, customers are likely to judge. A picture paints a thousand words so include pictures where you can especially if you serve food that’s unfamiliar to the New Zealand culture. If you can, take the time to hire a professional photographer so the colours are accurate and the food looks delicious. It’s amazing how many restaurants display their meat with a hint of green.
Laminated menus are great for a busy, family environment where the guests are generally a little messier than a fine dining experience. A laminated menu can be wiped easily and reused many times. You can also have your menus encapsulated which means the laminate will overlap the edge of the printed card creating a seal to make them water tight.
TAKE AWAY MENUS
Take away menus are usually made on an 80gsm paper and printed in black and white to keep costs down. If you want to create a higher quality perception then you may want to consider printing a DLE in full colour both sides on 210gsm silk matt paper.
